This was a tough final against one of the World's top competitors Neils Feijen who
is no stranger to winning major events. The match turned out to be a steady stream
of break and runs with Karl opening up an 11-4 advantage.
As anyone knows who watches the sport, this advantage can quickly turn around as
Neils Feijen put together some breaks and runs himself to come back to 11-9 before
breaking dry. Karl took the next to go 12-9 up before breaking dry himself. Neils
took that frame and the next 2 to set up a thrilling decider with the scores at
12-12.
Neils Feijen had the break, and so the advantage but it let him down and Karl came
to the table to clear the balls and take the title...

It certainly sounds good after all that hard work and effort.
Who is Karl Boyes
Karl is now playing 8-Ball, 9-Ball and 10-Ball Pool in prestigious tournaments
around the world but he started out as
a 14 year old playing in a local North Manchester
League in the UK. It didn't take Karl long to become one of the top playes in that local league
and at 18 Karl held 4 local Individual titles all at the same time. He also never lost
a match in over 18 months, a feat that will almost certainly never be beaten.
He's moved on from those early days and now playes in tournaments around the world
including
Europe, USA and Asia. He regularly plays in the EuroTour events around
Europe and qualified for the International Pool Tour reaching 19th in the
rankings.
Onwards and Upwards....
