this really tough event.

International Pool Tour
Karl makes the Semi-Final of the World Pool Championships in Manila, Philippines
at his first attempt. Knocking out some very famous faces along the way however,
it was not to be as Roberto Gomez of the Philippines came back from 4-0 down to
take the match and book his place in the final.
Who is Karl Boyes
Karl is now playing Pool on the 9-Ball and 8-Ball in prestigious tournaments
around the world but he started out as
a 14 year old playing in a local North Manchester
League. It didn't take Karl long to become one of the top playes in that local league
and at 18 Karl held 4 local Individual titles all at the same
time, Bolton, Bury, Radcliffe and "Prestwich & Whitefield". He also never lost
a match in over 18 months, a feat that will almost certainly never be beaten.
He's moved on from those early days and now playes in tournaments around the world
including
Europe, USA and Asia. He regularly plays in the EuroTour events around
Europe and qualified for the International Pool Tour reaching 19th in the
rankings.
